Signs your property might need rewiring:

PERIODIC TESTING

All electrical systems deteriorate over time. It is therefore important to inspect and test electrical installations periodically to make sure that they are in a satisfactory condition. Electrical inspections must be carried out by a competent and qualified electrician. The condition of the installation will be checked against the British  standard, BS:7671. This standard is the requirement for electrical installations and is one of the best industrial standards for electrical safety in the world

Domestic periodic electrical installation condition reports should be carried out at least every 10 years for your own property and every 5 years if you’re a landlord with rental properties.

Periodic electrical installation condition reports on commercial, retail and hospitality installations should be done at least every 5 years but this can be as often as every year depending on the type of environment the electrical install is apart of.
